Remember the first time you played a video game? Maybe you were Super Mario or your favorite game was Pacman.

Turns out, the original arcade game Pacman was created by Atari in the early 1980s. It’s made the same way the majority of games are made today.

A new website created by graphic designer Rick Phinney celebrates Pacman’s 30th anniversary and brings awareness to the game’s inventor, Al Alcorn.

Phinney’s new website includes the game’s complete history along with a short biography.

Pacman was named the world’s top video game of all time in 2013 by Guinness World Records.

To celebrate Pacman’s 30th anniversary, the game’s creator, Al Alcorn, will be visiting the Austin Game Expo. You can see the exhibit with special guest appearances from Pong, Asteroids, Centipede and Breakout at the Palmer Event Center on February 18th from 2-6 p.m.
